Let’s talk about Kate Hudson, the mom of three who’s never been shy about owning up to her parenting blows. The star of Almost Famous knows she’s not perfect when it comes to raising her kids—Ryder, 15, Bingham, 8, and Rani, 1—but she’s all about giving them the happiest childhood she can.
“You know what? I mess up all the time. I’ve yelled at my kids more than I’d like to admit. I’ve cursed in front of them. And sometimes, I’ve even missed important things because I was out of town,” the 40-year-old actress told Women’s Health, where she graced the cover of their December issue. “But hey, guess what? There are days when I feel like the ultimate supermom. I’m cooking, cleaning, helping with homework, changing diapers, and even squeezing in a workout. It’s a rollercoaster, but I’m doing my best.”

Learning to Be the Best Parent She Can Be
Through it all, Kate has learned something incredibly valuable: she’s doing the best she can. And that’s what matters most. In addition to giving her all at home, Kate’s been making sure her kids have plenty of fun adventures. “We go on vacations together, usually to our ranch in Colorado,” she shared. “There’s something about sitting and looking out at the mountains that just fills me with peace. My doctor says I should be taking more solo trips, but I’ll do that when the kids are older.”

Co-Parenting: The Hudson Way
Kate’s parenting journey is unique because she shares her children with three different men. Ryder is with her ex-husband, Chris Robinson; Bingham is with ex-fiancé Matt Bellamy; and her only daughter, Rani, is with boyfriend Danny Fujikawa. When it comes to co-parenting, Kate knows it’s all about putting egos aside. “Some people meet, have kids, and can’t figure out how to make it work,” she explained. “But Chris, Matt, and I have managed to create a positive environment for our kids, and that’s what really matters.”

Life With Danny Fujikawa
While Kate gets along well with her exes, she’s thrilled to have Danny by her side to help raise their baby. “Having a newborn after such a long break has been quite the shock,” an insider told Us Weekly. “But Kate’s loving every moment of this experience and sharing it with Danny. He’s super hands-on, which makes everything so much easier and more enjoyable for her.”
