Hey there! So, 2020 has officially arrived, and just like the rest of us, Kelly Osbourne decided to mark the occasion by sharing her resolutions on Instagram. As the ball was about to drop in New York City on December 31, Kelly made a heartfelt promise to continue her journey of sobriety and prioritize herself in the coming year.
Reflecting on 2019, Kelly noted that it had been quite the ride. "2019 was one heck of a year," she wrote. "In many ways, it was absolutely incredible, especially when it came to personal growth. But let's be real—it was also incredibly tough at times." Despite the ups and downs, Kelly said the year had been a profound learning experience. "I've realized something important: I keep putting the needs of others before my own," she admitted candidly.
View this post on Instagram2019 has been one hell of a year. In many ways it has been amazing especially in terms of self-growth. In many ways it has been gut-wrenchingly difficult. However through all the good and bad it has been incredibly educational for me. I have come to the realization that I constantly put the needs of others before my own. I allow myself to be put in situations that make me feel uncomfortable for fear of upsetting someone else. Not forgetting the amount of times I co-sign the bulls–t of others. With almost 2 1/2 years of sobriety under my belt I still struggle with confrontation (which was NEVER a problem when I was using) Well this all STOPS today. 2020 is going to be the year of me!!! It’s time to put myself first, stop taking on other peoples shit and be the badass sober women I was born to be. #HappyNewYear I love you guys 💜

She went on to explain that she often puts herself in uncomfortable situations just to avoid upsetting others. "And let's not forget all those times I've signed off on the nonsense of others," she added. Even with nearly two and a half years of sobriety under her belt, Kelly admitted she still struggles with confrontation—something that surprisingly wasn't an issue during her substance-abusing days.
Kelly’s Bold Plan for 2020
But Kelly's not waiting around for change; she's ready to take charge. "Well, this stops today," she declared. "2020 is going to be my year! It's time to put myself first, stop carrying other people's burdens, and be the badass sober woman I was always meant to be. #HappyNewYear I love you guys 💜," she wrote.
Even though Kelly's ready to move on from 2019, she did acknowledge it was a standout year for her career. The British TV personality appeared on the second season of The Masked Singer, where she went a long way before her identity as the Ladybug was revealed.

Behind the Mask: Kelly’s Secret Identity
Kelly's commitment to maintaining her anonymity on The Masked Singer was no joke. She didn't even clue in her dad, Ozzy Osbourne, about her participation. "We didn't tell my dad at first because, you know, he's the proud kind of father who would go around bragging, 'Did you see my daughter? Have you seen my daughter?'" Kelly joked to Entertainment Weekly. "He's such a gossip, and he loves to brag, so we couldn't risk telling him."
With The Masked Singer now behind her, fans are excited to see what Kelly has lined up for 2020. There's no doubt she's ready to embrace this next chapter with the same authenticity and determination that has defined her journey so far.
