As you probably know, Jane Fonda, now 81, has been a regular presence in D.C. for the past two months, rallying against climate change. Every Friday, she attends what she calls "Fire Drill Friday" protests, and out of the last seven weeks, she’s been arrested four times. Her dedication is nothing short of inspiring, and it seems her friends are taking notice.

Lily Tomlin told Closer and other reporters that each time her best friend gets arrested, Jane calls her for help. "She has [asked for bail money] every single time! Fifty bucks!" Lily joked, lightening the mood with her characteristic wit.

    Other Celebrities Joining the Cause

Lily isn’t the only one showing support. Jane’s Grace and Frankie costar, Sam Waterston, joined her on October 18, just a week after her first arrest on October 11. And on October 25, Jane was joined by none other than Ted Danson. The climate change movement is clearly gaining momentum, with celebrities lending their voices and presence to the cause.
