For the past couple of years, Harry and Meghan have joined the royal family at the queen’s Sandringham Estate for an extravagant celebration filled with fancy meals, humorous gag gifts, and photographers waiting outside church on Christmas morning. But this year, Meghan has been craving something simpler. “Sandringham is always such a blast,” explains the friend, “but it can also be overwhelming and super formal. Meghan just wants a quieter, more intimate Christmas this time around.”
