Let’s be real, life has a way of surprising us when we least expect it. Sailor Brinkley Cook knows this firsthand. Initially, she wasn’t supposed to be part of the 'Dancing With the Stars' season 28 competition. But when her mom, the legendary Christie Brinkley, suffered an injury during rehearsals, Sailor stepped up to the plate, and what a ride it’s been. At the show’s season finale on November 25, the radiant 21-year-old spoke with Closer Weekly and shared an update on her mom's recovery.
Mom's Recovery: A Bumpy Road to Healing
Life threw a curveball at Christie Brinkley when she broke her arm during rehearsals, leaving her unable to compete. As Sailor revealed, “She’s healing up. You know, it’s hard to bounce back from all of those bones shattering.” Despite the challenges, the supermodel is doing well. “She didn’t come tonight because traveling just makes it hurt even more,” Sailor explained. It’s moments like these that remind us how tough and resilient the Brinkley women truly are.
