Let’s talk about someone who has been a constant source of joy for millions of Americans. Vanna White has been flipping letters on Wheel of Fortune for over three decades, and guess what? She’s not planning to hang up her heels anytime soon. In fact, she’s as committed as ever to the show that’s brought so much happiness to viewers and contestants alike.

Why Vanna White Keeps Turning Letters (and Hearts)

At 62 years young, Vanna White is a living legend. She sat down exclusively with Closer Weekly to share her thoughts about her enduring career on one of television’s most iconic game shows. “I love my job, and my current contract runs through 2022, so you’re going to see me for a while,” she said with a warm smile. Vanna’s journey began in 1982 when she stepped into her role as the show’s hostess, and ever since then, she’s been a beacon of charm and elegance.

What keeps her going after all these years? “It’s about how happy we make people—and rich! (laughs) And rich! We do,” Vanna exclaimed. “Think about it: how often do you show up every day and give away money that changes lives? It’s an incredible feeling.”

Even after decades in the spotlight, Vanna insists that the thrill never fades. “Every single show is different—you never know what to expect,” she explained. “There’s always something new, whether it’s the contestants or the puzzles. And of course, I’ve worn over 7,000 dresses, so I never wear the same outfit twice!”

But don’t get your hopes up about taking those glamorous outfits home. “I’m not allowed to keep them, but I will say they let me borrow them sometimes for interviews and charity events. So, I do get to use them every once in a while,” Vanna revealed with a laugh.
