Marie Osmond, the ever-loving grandma, is all about her grandkids! Recently, she celebrated her grandson Maxwell's first birthday with a sweet gesture. She posted not one, but two adorable selfies on Instagram where she’s seen giving her little one a big hug and kiss. If you take a closer look at those pictures, it looks like Maxwell might have taken the photos himself. Talk about a tech-savvy baby!
On Wednesday, October 9, Marie couldn’t help but express her joy and love for her growing family. “Happy ☝️st Birthday to my adorable October grandson Maxwell!” she wrote in her Instagram caption. “Ok… push the button on my phone and say cheese!” she added with a playful emoji. “😆 Grandma loves you so so much!! 😘🎂 🎉🎈.” The warmth in her words shows just how much family means to her.

Marie’s Love for Her Grandchildren Grows
There’s no denying that Marie Osmond has a soft spot for her grandchildren. She’s a grandma to son Stephen’s trio of kids — Stephen Jr., Christian, and the birthday boy, Maxwell — daughter Rachael’s duo — Rocket Jade and a little one we haven’t met yet — and daughter Brianna’s darling Maude Bailey-Moon Schwep. It’s a big, happy family!
Marie once shared with Closer Weekly just how much her family means to her. "Out of all the awards and accolades that I have been blessed with throughout my life, nothing comes close in comparison with the blessings I receive from being a mother to my eight children and grandma of three," she said, before welcoming even more grandkids into her life.
Family is Everything to Marie Osmond
Marie’s family is her anchor, and she cherishes every moment with them. “I am the happiest I have ever been!” the The Talk cohost gushed. “I’ve gotten to experience things with them that I never did. I didn’t really have a childhood — my life has not been normal.” It’s clear that Marie values the normalcy and love her family brings to her life, and she wouldn’t trade it for anything.

Achievements and Humility
Even though Marie didn’t have the most “normal” childhood due to her skyrocketing music career, she’s incredibly grateful for all that she has. On Friday, October 4, Marie and her brother, Donny Osmond, received their own star on the Las Vegas Walk of Stars. This honor recognized the 11 incredible years they spent performing at the Flamingo Hotel and Casino.

“WOW 11 amazing years @FlamingoVegas and #soldout shows!!! We have the best fans in the world who have traveled from all over the world,” Marie wrote on Instagram about this unforgettable moment. “We are honored that this day is now officially Donny & Marie day in Las Vegas and it’s an honor to be added to the #LasVegasWalkOfStars! Thank you from the bottom my heart.”
Through it all, Marie has managed to stay humble, proving that success doesn’t have to change who you are at heart.
