When Twins Start Talking About Girlfriends

It seems the twins are already showing signs of budding romantics. Céline recounted how her boys, who will soon be 9, return from activities like bounce houses or bowling with tales of new friendships—and even potential love interests. “Every time they go out to play, they come back and say, ‘We met some new friends tonight,’” she shared with a laugh. “And then they’ll add, ‘Yeah, he has two girlfriends.’”

Céline admitted she’s unsure if her young sons fully grasp the difference between friends and girlfriends. But hey, at this age, who really does? The humor in her voice was unmistakable as she added, “I don’t think they know the difference yet. But who knows? Maybe they’re ahead of the curve!”

Though her sons are eager to dip their toes into the dating pool, Céline recently admitted that she isn’t ready to follow suit. In a heartfelt appearance on Today in mid-September, the singer confessed that dating isn’t on her radar just yet. “I don’t date. I’m not ready,” she said. “But I’m lucky to have so many amazing people around me who keep me smiling.”

“What I miss most is the physical touch—the hugs, the affection,” she added. “I miss the words of love, the little things that make you feel special. But for now, I’m content with my family and the love they bring into my life.”
