“When I was putting her down last night, she was watching our very first show,” Hoda, 55, said with a big smile. “She was wondering where I was because I had been home for five months straight. So, when she saw me on TV, it was like magic. She watched the whole thing, and it was just the sweetest moment.” It’s moments like this that remind us how much our kids soak in everything we do, and how much they adore seeing us shine.

Haley might not fully grasp what’s happening, but her mom was on maternity leave for a few months after welcoming their newest bundle of joy, daughter Hope, in the spring. “I just can’t believe how, in the blink of an eye, life changes,” Hoda shared with People. “Now, there are two babies in the house, and I’m overwhelmed with joy. Google to the Rescue for a Forgetful Mom
Hoda even admitted that she forgot a lot about taking care of a newborn and had to turn to Google for help. “I forgot everything!” she laughed. “I was like, ‘How do you hold the baby? How do you feed a baby? How do you swaddle?’ I was googling swaddling techniques, and you won’t believe this, but I even looked up how to put on pajamas.” It’s okay, Hoda, we’ve all been there. Hoda's Focus on Family
Don’t worry about Hoda though, because at the end of the day, she’s all about being the best mom she can be to her children. “I feel like I’ve lived 54 years, and I’ve loved every minute of it,” she told her cohost Savannah Guthrie while on maternity leave. “But if there’s a window or a moment in my life that has mattered more than anything, it’s right now.” She’s fully immersed in this phase of life, and it shows in every interaction with her kids.
“So every day, we do the same thing, and it’s so simple. We have morning bubbles outside, we go to the muffin store and get a muffin, we burp Hope — it’s the same day,” Hoda explained. “But it’s awesome, it’s the most awesome day ever!” There’s a beauty in simplicity, and Hoda captures it perfectly. It’s all about the little things that make life magical, and she’s living it to the fullest.
