When Billy was born, Jimmy and Molly were faced with a challenging situation. Billy had congenital heart defects, and the couple wasn’t sure about his future. In an incredibly moving 13-minute monologue on his show in May 2017, Jimmy opened up about the experience. Holding back tears, he explained to his audience, “A little over a week ago, on Friday, April 21st, my wife gave birth to a baby boy. His name is William John Kimmel. We call him Billy. He was an easy delivery—only six pushes out. He appeared to be a normal, healthy baby until about three hours after he was born.”
