They jetted off to Cabo with Cheryl’s mom, Sherri Burke, to mark her 65th birthday in style. Talk about a whirlwind of love and celebrations!
Cheryl opened up exclusively to Closer Weekly about their whirlwind schedule and how they celebrated their one-month anniversary. "We were actually in Cabo celebrating my mom’s 65th birthday," Cheryl shared. "So we went from this incredible long honeymoon, came back home, unpacked, did laundry, packed again, and left for Cabo for a quick three-day getaway." Can you even imagine the energy and excitement of those few days?

A Whirlwind of Love and Life
Cheryl couldn’t help but laugh when she talked about how hectic life has been since the wedding. "It’s been kind of a whirlwind. I don’t think I’ve even been home for more than just a few days since we’ve been married," she joked. But despite the chaos, newlywed life is treating Cheryl and Matthew wonderfully. There’s not a single regret between them about tying the knot.
Cheryl Gushes About Newlywed Bliss
Cheryl couldn’t stop gushing about how her life has changed since marrying Matthew. "I have a sense of calmness that I’ve never felt before. It just feels right, I feel secure and I’m grounded," she said. Cheryl went on to express how comforting it is to know she has Matthew by her side, and vice versa. "The fact that I know I have him and that he’ll always be there for me and vice versa is very comforting to the both of us," she added.

On Monday, May 27, Cheryl shared a sweet moment with her followers by posting a picture of her and Matthew in matching His and Hers robes. These robes were a thoughtful gift from their friend Leah Remini. Cheryl’s social media presence continues to be a window into her happy, newlywed life.

While the wedding gifts were incredible, they pale in comparison to the magic of her big day. Cheryl shared with us, "Everything went perfect, every detail." Her meticulous attention to detail is evident in everything she does, whether it's competing on Dancing With the Stars or planning her dream wedding. "I’m very detail oriented as you can see on DWTS when you're competing on a world-class level like ballroom. So when I do something, it’s either all or nothing. I’m that type of personality. It’s either black or white. There’s no gray area," she explained.
