It seems like everything’s okay in Rosie O’Donnell’s world. The beloved star recently opened up about her life following her split from fiancée, Elizabeth Rooney, which happened nearly a month ago. Speaking candidly, Rosie, now 57, reassured fans that the split wasn’t as dramatic as it might seem.
“We’re trying to figure things out. You know, she’s a police officer, she’s young, and there’s a lot of attention on this. We’re just taking it slow,” Rosie shared with Us Weekly at the annual fall gala for Rosie’s Theater Kids on November 18. “But I’m not looking to date or date anyone else at the moment.”

Back in October 2018, Rosie excitedly announced her engagement to Elizabeth by flaunting her stunning new ring on Instagram. The post simply read, “Y E S 💍,” sparking joy and curiosity among her followers. However, according to Radar Online, Rosie and Elizabeth were keen on keeping their engagement under wraps.

“Elizabeth works in the police force, so she prefers to keep a lot of personal details private,” a source explained. The couple began dating in November 2017, and during their time together, insiders told Radar that Rosie and Elizabeth were deeply in love.
“They’re truly, truly happy. I truly believe that this relationship could have lasted a lifetime,” the source added. Rosie, a proud mother of five—Parker, 24, Chelsea, 22, Blake, 19, Vivienne, 16, and Dakota, 6—previously gushed about her relationship with Elizabeth during an appearance on The Howard Stern Show.
