When you think of "Wheel of Fortune," the first two faces that pop into your mind are probably Vanna White and Pat Sajak. These two have been lighting up our screens for over three decades, but what you might not realize is just how close they are off-camera. Their friendship runs deep, and it's one of the most genuine bonds in the world of entertainment.
When asked about her relationship with Pat, Vanna White, now 62, opened up to Closer Weekly in an exclusive interview. She described their connection as “close… and I have to say, brotherly, sisterly love.” Now, that’s something special. And when Pat, 73, had to undergo emergency surgery for an intestinal blockage, Vanna stepped up to the plate, proving just how much she cares about her on-screen partner. But she didn’t do it alone. Vanna revealed that she’s been getting some much-needed encouragement along the way.
“You know, I’ve been getting some amazing feedback from fans,” Vanna shared with Closer Weekly, reflecting on her experience stepping in as host while Pat was recovering. “It was tough for me to watch myself on screen because, let’s be honest, nobody loves seeing themselves in pictures or videos. I was nervous while doing the show, but I pushed through. And guess what? The fans have been nothing but supportive. That means the world to me.”

Stepping Up and Stepping In
While Pat was in the hospital, Vanna didn’t have the chance to get any direct hosting advice from him. But she wasn’t alone in her journey. “The staff and crew were incredible,” Vanna explained. “Our executive producer was there every step of the way, making sure I felt comfortable and confident. Everyone worked together to make sure the show went smoothly, and I’m so grateful for their support.”
A Future Full of Spin and Solve
