When life throws you curveballs, sometimes you just have to step up to the plate. Vanna White, the ever-charming co-host of "Wheel of Fortune," found herself in that position when her longtime partner in spinning, Pat Sajak, was temporarily out of commission. But guess what? She's here to tell us that Pat's back and better than ever!
Speaking exclusively to Closer Weekly, the radiant 62-year-old shared some fantastic news about her co-host. "He’s feeling great! He is back to work," Vanna beamed. "He’s already shot 12 shows and we’ll be shooting again this Thursday and Friday. So he’s back to normal, I’m happy to say!" While stepping into Pat's shoes wasn't exactly what Vanna envisioned for herself, she took the reins with grace and professionalism, first hitting the airwaves on December 9. And let's be honest, there's no one quite like Pat, but Vanna brought her own unique charm to the table.
Now, let's talk about the differences between Vanna and Pat. Vanna was quick to point out that their hosting styles couldn't be more different. "I was just myself. Pat is a very funny guy and I certainly don’t have his sense of humor," she confessed. "So I basically just wanted to get through the shows and I wanted the contestants to feel comfortable and just kind of wanted to lead them the right way through the show." It was a case of flying by the seat of her pants, but she pulled it off beautifully. "What you see is what you get!" she joked.

A Look Back at Vanna's Temporary Hosting Gig
Vanna, who recently earned the prestigious title of Godmother for Carnival Cruise Line’s newest ship, Carnival Panorama, admitted that she couldn't replicate Pat's style. "I just — you know. It was what it was. I couldn’t copy Pat because truthfully, I’m up there on the puzzle board thinking about the letters," she explained. "I’m not paying attention to what he’s saying or doing up there." And let's be honest, who can blame her? Keeping track of all those letters is no small feat!
Vanna's Reception as a Host
Despite the challenges, Vanna has been overwhelmed by the positive feedback she's received. "You know, I’m getting some great feedback," she revealed to Closer exclusively. "It was very hard for me to watch because I don’t know, I think people don’t like to see themselves in pictures or to see themselves in videos or whatever, so it was kind of hard to watch because I was very nervous doing the show." But hey, if there's one thing we know about Vanna, it's that she's a trooper!
"But I did it and again, the feedback has been great," she added. "And the fans have been very supportive so that makes me feel good." It's clear that Vanna's authenticity and warmth shone through, earning her praise from fans and colleagues alike.
