Carrie Underwood Opens Up About Touring With Family
On October 4, Carrie stopped by The Late Show With Stephen Colbert, where she chatted about everything from her music to her family life. The 36-year-old powerhouse, who won American Idol back in the day, has been married to former NHL star Mike Fisher since 2010. Together, they’ve got two adorable boys: Isaiah, who’s 4, and baby Jacob, just 8 months old. “They love it,” Carrie said about her family traveling with her. “I mean, Jake would be happy no matter where we were. Babies are pretty adaptable, right?”

This little guy is living his best life on tour. “Somebody recently gave him the nickname ‘The Mayor of Catering’ because he’s just running around saying ‘Hi, everybody!’ and genuinely loves seeing everyone,” Carrie told Colbert. “He’s got his little scooter that he rides around the venues. He’s such a people person. Honestly, he’s living the dream.” Can we just pause for a second to soak in all that cuteness? Seriously, this kid is gold.
Family First: Carrie’s Tour Philosophy
Carrie has never been shy about how much she adores having her family by her side. On September 18, she shared a sweet post on Instagram, showing off Isaiah enjoying one of her shows. “One of my favorite things about the #CryPrettyTour360 is having my family out on the road with me,” she wrote. “I just hope I’m making my boys proud of their mama.” It’s clear that Isaiah is quite the social butterfly, something Carrie highlighted earlier this summer.
“I have a 4-year-old who’s, like, a schmoozer,” Carrie joked to Entertainment Tonight. “He knows exactly what to say and he’s so cute about it. He’s got this charm that gets him a little bit of what he wants. And let me tell you, he works it, especially with the ladies. He’s got that sweet, innocent thing down pat.” Meanwhile, baby Jacob? Well, he’s just pure squishy happiness. “My 4-month-old is just four months of pure joy and smiles. I mean, who doesn’t love a smiley baby?” Carrie added.
