Now, they're calling the shots more often. It’s a whole new phase for us as parents.”

Courtney elaborated on the evolving relationship with his teens. “We always believed that from the time they're born until they're about 12, kids need to listen to us and follow our guidance,” he explained. “But once they hit 13, we enter a phase of dialogue. It’s about having meaningful conversations, understanding their perspectives, and finding common ground.”
