2 Fast 2 Furious star Eva Mendes has given fans a hilarious glimpse into her life as a mom of two! In an Instagram post from Sunday, October 20, Eva shared a candid moment about the chaos of family life with her partner, Ryan Gosling, and their two adorable kids. With her signature humor and charm, she joked about trying to escape the madness for just a little while.

In a playful caption, Eva wrote, “Sunday. Still in bed. Trying to hide from my kids. (not having success).” The photo showed her tucked under the covers, clearly attempting to steal a few extra minutes of peace. She also admitted that she hadn’t bothered to wash off her makeup the night before, embracing what she called the "next day of the night before" eye makeup look. "My skin disagrees tho," she joked. Eva then extended her humor and understanding to other moms, saying, "To all you mamas out there, hope you find a moment to sneak away from the madness today, even for a few minutes." She even threw in a nostalgic reference to Calgon, a nod to older moms who would know the famous line, "Calgon, take me away!"

Sunday. Still in bed. Trying to hide from my kids. (not having success) And no, I didn’t wash my makeup off last night. I know , I know so bad,  yadda yadda but I like the “next day of the night before “ eye make up look. My skin disagrees tho. To all you mamas out there, hope you find a moment to sneak away from the madness today even for a few minutes. Calgon take me awayyyyy (the older moms will know what that means) ❤️

Eva Mendes and Ryan Gosling: Parenthood in Their Own Words

Eva and Ryan share two beautiful daughters, Esmeralda, 5, and Amada, 3. During a recent appearance on The Kelly Clarkson Show, Eva opened up about the unique challenges of being a parent. She joked about one of the toughest parts of motherhood, saying, "The hardest part [of parenting] hands-down is the amount of snacks I have to carry with me all day long, and the variety." Eva explained that her kids are picky eaters, meaning she has to keep things fresh, especially during long car rides. "Those are the worst," she quipped. "Even going to the market, I need to take food in the car to get there." It’s clear that Eva takes her role as a mom seriously, but she also knows how to laugh at herself while doing it.

Despite the humor, Eva also shared some serious thoughts about parenting. "Nobody told me it was really going to be a job, and a job I would need an incredible amount of skill for," she admitted. She went on to describe the various roles she plays as a mom, joking that she’s a "chauffeur, a cook, a personal assistant to an abusive boss." She hilariously pointed out that her kids aren’t always grateful, and that in any other profession, she’d have to pass a test to qualify. "The only test I had to pass was a pregnancy test. That doesn’t seem fair," she quipped. It’s clear that Eva takes her role as a parent seriously, but she also knows how to find the humor in the chaos.

Eva also described herself as a "bulldozing parent," admitting that she can be very controlling. However, she expressed hope that she’ll eventually find the right balance between her work and home life. It’s this kind of honesty and self-awareness that makes Eva such a relatable and beloved figure among fans.

When her kids grow up, they’ll undoubtedly appreciate everything Eva and Ryan have done for them. For now, they’re just lucky to have such a fun, loving, and hilarious mom in their corner.
