On Friday, September 27, Brad took to Instagram to share a heartfelt tribute, listing all the qualities that make Gwyneth the incredible person she is—and why he wouldn’t change a thing about her.

Brad started off his post with a simple yet powerful statement: “Today is Gwyneth’s birthday so I’m just going to say it.” He then went on to describe what makes her so special, even embracing her quirks. “She’s the greatest human being ever,” he wrote. “She’s not perfect—her sense of humor can be a little on the dirty side, she gets very angry at other drivers, isn’t that cheery before her first cup of coffee, considers dehydration to be a character flaw, and improperly seasoned food hurts her feelings.”

Her soft, hardworking hands are capable of making the most delicious pancakes and can make you feel at home with just a gentle touch.”

Brad didn’t stop there. He also praised Gwyneth for her incredible parenting skills, both as a mother to her own children—Apple, 15, and Moses, 13—and as a stepmother to his kids, Isabella and Brody, whom he shares with his ex-wife, Suzanne Falchuk. “She’s a relentless mother and stepmother,” he wrote. “The BEST wife, all of her friends know she’s their champion, and no one wears clothes as well as she does.”

Brad continued to gush about Gwyneth’s endless fascination and her ability to succeed in everything she does. “She drinks whiskey and eats fried food yet still manages to look like that,” he joked. “Happy birthday, Love. I know I’m not the only person to say, thank God you were born. I love you.”

Accompanying Brad’s heartfelt caption was a stunning photo of Gwyneth looking absolutely radiant without any makeup. In the comments section, their friends flooded in to wish the Shakespeare in Love star a joyous birthday.
