At just 34 years old, Meghan McCain has taken on the monumental task of representing half the country’s political spectrum. In an interview with Entertainment Tonight (ET), she revealed her mindset while sitting in her chair on the show. “I try to remind myself that I’m representing 50 percent of the country,” Meghan explained. “Even though I only have one chair, I’m representing a large group of women, and that’s incredibly important.”

I’m not trying to please an audience; I’m just being honest. Despite the occasional fireworks, things tend to settle down once the show wraps up. “We all have our own projects and lives outside of the show,” Meghan revealed. “Honestly, I forget about the fights pretty quickly. In an appearance on Andy Cohen’s Watch What Happens Live, she revealed an unexpected side of their dynamic. “The thing about Joy and me is that if you take politics out of the equation, we’re actually quite similar,” she confessed. “We leave it all on the table during the show, we fight like boxers, and then we walk off stage and I’m like, ‘Hey, do you want to grab a drink? Are we good?’”
Despite their differences, Meghan finds it hard to dislike Joy. “She’s hilarious, and at the end of the day, I try to hate her, but I just can’t,” the former Fox News contributor admitted. “I’m telling you, I’ve never had more fun fighting with someone on TV than I do with Joy Behar. It’s an odd but genuine friendship.”
