Hey there, friends! Remember Sister, Sister star Tia Mowry-Hardrict? Well, she’s still as real and relatable as ever when it comes to parenting. In a recent chat with People, Tia opened up about her cozy family sleeping arrangements. Yep, you heard that right—she shares her bed with her adorable kids, son Cree (age 8) and daughter Cairo (age 1), along with her husband, Cory Hardrict. She admitted that Cairo still joins her in bed every night because, let’s face it, who wants their baby to feel even the tiniest bit of stress?
Co-Sleeping: A Family Tradition
Tia shared some interesting details about her parenting habits during the interview. “Well, my 1-year-old is still in my bed,” she revealed with a smile. “Ever since she was born, she’s been in our bed. And guess what? My son was in our bed until he was 4!” Can you imagine the family cuddle sessions? It sounds like pure bliss to me. For Tia, it’s all about creating a stress-free environment for her kids, and co-sleeping seems to be working wonders.

Supportive Husband, Cory Hardrict
Now, you might be wondering if Cory Hardrict, Tia’s supportive husband, has any issues with the kids hopping into bed with them. Not a chance! Tia explained, “My husband’s totally fine with it. If he wasn’t, maybe we’d have to have a little chat, but he’s so cool with it.” Sounds like they’ve got a pretty chill and understanding dynamic going on there, folks.
Mom Knows Best?
While Tia and Cory are all about the co-sleeping lifestyle, Tia’s mom, Darlene Mowry, seems to have a different perspective. “She’s like, ‘You need to do the cry-out method and put your baby in a crib,’” Tia joked, adding that her mom is a bit stricter when it comes to parenting advice. But Tia’s not budging on this one. “I’m like, ‘No way. I don’t want my baby to feel even a hint of stress.’” Can you blame her? Every parent has their own style, and Tia’s clearly works for her family.

Gender-Neutral Names and Beyond
Tia’s parenting philosophy extends beyond co-sleeping. She’s also given her kids gender-neutral names to encourage them to break free from societal norms. “If you think about it, their names—Cairo and Cree—are both unisex. They can work for either a boy or a girl, and I love that,” she explained. “I’m all about my kids not letting society dictate who they are or what they want to be, so I started with their names on purpose.” It’s clear that Tia wants her kids to have the freedom to explore and express themselves without limits.
And when it comes to decorating their rooms, Tia’s got it all figured out. “If my son ends up loving dinosaurs or cars, I’ll put those in his room. Same goes for my daughter. I don’t want to dictate what they should like or want, so I just go with the flow,” she shared. Talk about a forward-thinking mom!
Tia Mowry-Hardrict is truly setting the bar high when it comes to parenting. Her approach is both nurturing and empowering, and we can’t help but admire her unique take on raising her family.
