The video Alex shared was accompanied by a caption that read, “Alex is back in action! Join him on September 9 for the premiere of season 36.” In the clip, Alex gives his fans a heartfelt update on his battle with stage IV pancreatic cancer. Back in May, he had shared with the world that he was "near remission," and now he’s feeling even better.
“It’s just another day at the office for me, but it’s an exciting one because so many amazing things have been happening,” Alex says in the clip. He goes on to share, “I’ve been through a lot of chemotherapy, and thankfully, that part is now over. I’m on the mend, and that’s all I can hope for right now.” His words radiate hope and determination, reminding everyone that life is all about moving forward, one step at a time.

Alex's Health Update: A Journey of Resilience
In a previous video he posted to Twitter on Wednesday, April 17, Alex addressed his health and reassured fans that he’s ready to dive back into his work. “So, despite what you might have heard, I’m feeling good,” he said. “I’m continuing with my therapy, and we — by 'we,' I mean the staff — are already hard at work on our next season, the 36th year of Jeopardy!”
He went on to express his excitement, saying, “I look forward to seeing you all again in September with all kinds of good stuff.” Alex’s resilience and dedication to his craft are truly inspiring, and his fans couldn’t be happier to see him back where he belongs.
Fans Celebrate Alex's Progress
What’s even more thrilling for fans is that Alex’s doctors have noticed significant improvements in his condition. “It’s kind of mind-boggling,” Alex told People magazine. “The doctors said they hadn’t seen this kind of positive result in their memory… some of the tumors have already shrunk by more than 50 percent.”
Alex hasn’t forgotten the incredible support from his fans throughout this journey. “I’ve got a couple million people out there who have expressed their good thoughts, their positive energy directed towards me, and their prayers,” he said. “I told the doctors, this has to be more than just the chemo, and they agreed it could very well be an important part of this.”

It’s clear that Alex’s strength and optimism have been bolstered by the love and support of his fans. We’re overjoyed to have him back, and we can’t wait for the new season of Jeopardy! to premiere this fall.
